The official terms that govern Big Boy Food Truck bookings.

1. Booking duration and timing
- Session duration: Bookings are available in 2-hour blocks. Additional time is charged at $150/hour.
- Buffer time: Only one event is permitted per truck per day, ensuring proper preparation and servicing.
- Operating hours: Trucks are available from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
- Event restrictions: Trucks are unavailable on certain high-demand dates, such as University of Michigan and Lions game days.
2. Booking process
- Request submission: Clients must complete an online booking request form, including event details and location.
- Approval process: All booking requests require manual approval. Clients will receive notification of approval, and deposits will not be charged until bookings are approved.
- Lead time: Bookings must be submitted at least 14 days in advance to allow for scheduling and preparation.
3. Payment terms
- Pricing: A varied pricing structure applies based on event type and menu selections. Additional costs apply for add-ons such as chicken tenders and shakes.
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required upon approval to confirm the reservation.
- Final payment: The remaining balance (50%) must be paid no later than 7 days before the event.
- Payment methods: Credit/debit cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), PayPal, and manual payments (e.g., cash or check) if needed.
4. Cancellation and refund policy
- Customer cancellations: Full refund if canceled at least 7 days before the event; deposit forfeiture for cancellations made within 7 days of the event.
- Big Boy cancellations: In case of a cancellation by Big Boy Restaurants, a full refund will be provided.
5. Menu options
- Base menu: Includes Big Boy Burgers, Slim Jims, and French Fries.
- Add-ons: Chicken tenders, shakes, and other items are available at additional costs.
- Custom menus: Custom menu requests are allowed but are subject to approval and custom pricing.
6. Event requirements
- Location: The client must provide a suitable location for the food truck, ensuring parking and required permits are in place.
- Utilities: Trucks are self-sufficient and do not require external utilities.
- Setup and cleanup: Big Boy staff will handle setup and cleanup associated with the food truck.
7. Liability and damages
- Client responsibility: Clients are responsible for ensuring the event complies with local laws and ordinances and for any damages caused to the truck or equipment during the event.
- Big Boy responsibility: Big Boy Restaurants is not liable for incidents outside the scope of food service.
8. Notifications
- Customer notifications: Email confirmation upon booking; updates on booking status (approved, declined, or modified); reminders 24 hours before the event; notifications of cancellations or changes.
- Internal notifications: Email notifications for new bookings and updates.
9. Staff and permissions
- Team access: Both Operations and Marketing teams will have access to the booking system for transparency and coordination.
- Staffing: Each event includes dedicated food truck staff provided by Big Boy.
10. Miscellaneous
- Blocking dates: Big Boy reserves the right to block out specific dates for internal use or high-demand events.
- Policy agreement: Clients must agree to the terms outlined in this booking policy before confirming their reservation.
