At Big Boy®, we value your privacy. While visiting Big Boy's website, BigBoy.com, you may be asked to provide information that personally identifies you including name, address, email address, phone number, anniversary date and birth date. The information that we collect is on a voluntary basis. You may choose not to provide personal information and will still have access to the majority of Big Boy's website. However, there will occasionally be some activities provided by our site that will require you to disclose personally identifiable information in order to participate. The information we collect online helps us to respond to your requests, deliver requested services to or for you, and continuously improve your experience at Big Boy®.
The information that Big Boy® collects varies depending on the activity you are interacting with online. The following are examples of activities for which we will need your personal information: customer feedback, the Big Boy® Email Club and Big Boy® Kids' Club subscriptions, affiliated third party applications and microsites, gift card, products and merchandise sales, franchise inquiries, and providing location information. Additionally, when you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address, email address, phone number, and birthdate so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
If you have not opted out of receiving marketing materials, we may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about new Big Boy® services and special offers we think you'll find valuable. You can choose not to allow us to use your personal information for direct marketing purposes by indicating your preference at the time of collection or by unsubscribing via the link provided at the bottom of all correspondence.
If you allow advertising cookies, we also work with Magellan AI, an advertising measurement company, to learn whether our advertising, including podcast advertising, brings people to BigBoy.com. On our homepage and our location finder (including its online ordering page), a small piece of Magellan code called a pixel sends Magellan the web address of the page you are viewing (which can include a ZIP code or city you searched for) and the page that referred you. As part of that request, Magellan also receives your IP address, your browser type, and the time of your visit. Magellan may set or read its own cookies or similar identifiers, and may share them with its partners, to connect your visit with advertising you may have heard or seen. You can also opt out of Magellan's measurement on Magellan's opt-out page.
You can switch Analytics and Advertising on or off at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page; your choices apply to the browser you make them in. Switching Advertising off opts you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and while it is off we show “Opt-Out Request Honored” on that page and at the bottom of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as that opt-out: Advertising stays off even if you allowed it before, and we don't ask about cookies, so nothing runs unless you switch Analytics on yourself. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance or the Network Advertising Initiative.
Big Boy® does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others for money. This does not include information provided to trusted third parties who help us in operating our website, conducting our business, and generating statistical analysis for use by Big Boy®. Occasionally, we use third parties to provide services to you, such as fulfilling gift card orders, rewards, phone applications, conducting surveys, providing location information, administering our Big Boy® Email Club and Big Boy® Kids' Club, and contests that may be occasionally offered at this website or affiliated microsites. If personally identifiable information (name, address, email address, phone number, or birthdate) is provided by us or by you directly to any of these third parties, we require that such information be maintained by them in confidence. You should also be aware that we may disclose information about you if required by law.
If you allow Advertising, the advertising companies described under Cookies, analytics & advertising collect information about your visit. California law may treat that as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; you can opt out at any time by switching Advertising off on our Your Privacy Choices page.
We may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Site, and track user movement for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Our sign-up, contact and inquiry forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam. When you open one of these forms, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical details about your browser and device to run that check.
To ensure compliance with federal law, the general portion of Big Boy's website and any microsites operated or provided by Big Boy® or any of its affiliates that reference this policy do not knowingly collect or maintain information provided by children under the age of 13. If you would like to enroll your child, age 13 or younger, in the Big Boy® Kids' Club, you must opt into the service by submitting your own personally identifiable information.
We encourage parents to monitor their children's online activities. Please instruct your children never to give out their names, addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses to anyone on the web without your permission. This Site complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which governs information collected from children under 13.
BigBoy.com or microsites operated or provided by Big Boy® or any of its affiliates may make forums available to its users at various times, or the ability to upload photographs or videos. Please remember that, unless otherwise stated, any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Occasionally, we may provide links to third party sites on our website. We are not responsible for the content or information collection practices of those sites, and their privacy policies may differ from Big Boy's — please read them before providing any personal information.

In the past 12 months we have collected: identifiers, such as your name, email address and phone number when you give them to us, and your IP address and cookie identifiers when you use our site; internet activity on our site, such as pages viewed and actions taken; your approximate location, based on your IP address; and, for the Kids' Club, a parent's email address and a child's first name and birth month and day. We use this information to answer your requests, run our clubs and offers, operate and secure our site, understand how our site is used if you allow Analytics, and measure and improve our advertising only if you allow Advertising.
If you allow Analytics, identifiers and internet activity go to Google for Google Analytics. If you allow Advertising, they also go to Meta and Magellan AI, and Google may use them for advertising, which California law may treat as selling or sharing personal information. We never do this on our kids' pages, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.

By using our website and submitting the personal information requested, you consent to the collection and use of this information in the manner described in our privacy policy by Big Boy®. Big Boy® reserves the right to change this policy at any time in the future.
